The purpose of Mutual Blessings is to offer spiritually-enriching practices using the principles of Godly Play to people of all ages or needs, but especially those who may be on the edge of the church’s ministry.

Mutual Blessings is a Sheffield based project that includes the Doncaster and Goole areas, supporting spiritual enrichment through the use of Godly Play.
Mutual Blessings has four project areas.
- Supporting schools, with the help of their local churches, in using Godly Play in R.E. but also in shaping the philosophy and pedagogy of encounter and wondering.
- Supporting churches to re-shape their ministry to become more spiritually enriching through Godly Play, by providing churches with advice and consultancy,
- Developing the use of Godly Play in Care settings for Older people.
Please go to www.storiesforthesoul.org for information about this work.
- Developing the use of Deep Talk “an adaptation of Godly Play … to help work communities develop in creative ways” (Jerome Berryman).

Mutual Blessings is an ecumenical project but has its home at The Vine, Sheffield.
Mutual Blessings has been given generous donations from the Anglican Diocese of Sheffield, the Sheffield Church Burgesses and the Methodist Sheffield District which means we can give financial support to those developing a Godly Play ministry.
The money must be used within the Diocese of Sheffield (which is South Yorkshire and the area around Goole) or the Sheffield Methodist District (which includes Retford and the Peak) but it is available for all denominations. https://www.churchofengland.org/about/dioceses
Please get in touch if you are unsure if your area qualifies for a grant.
